Goldie, a Certified
Therapy Dog, loves
a good
story but needs someone (children ages 6-10) to read it to her. If
interested in helping Goldie and practicing reading aloud, please sign up
for a 15 minute reading session during one of these times or just drop in
to meet Goldie and see if she is free to hear a story! You may bring
in your favorite book or choose one at the library. *Note: Therapy Dogs International, Inc. is a volunteer group organized to provide qualified handlers and their Therapy Dogs for visitation in a variety of facilities and settings. Their “Paws for Reading” program is designed to allow kids the chance to read to a non-judgmental listener in a stress-free environment. Children find themselves relaxing and having fun while improving their reading skills! |

An Evening of Poetry
will be held for all those who participated in Dover Public Library's 8th
annual poetry contest. Join us for poetry readings by the contestants, the award presentation, and refreshments. The public is invited to attend. |

Education in Dover" booklet with full descriptions of many Dover nursery
schools is being updated and will be available for borrowing in
mid-to-late May. Also, the booklet will be posted on our website.
